The Fest

PLEASE NOTE: Our Next Festival, Beer Bar Fest, can be found here:

We couldn’t have asked for a better Lead Food Sponsor for the Get Real Belgian Beer Fest than Petite Abeille. If you like what you tasted at the fest, then you’re gonna want to check out the big party taking place at Hudson Terrace this Sunday the 24th starting at 1pm and going late into the night in celebration of Belgian National Day. Launched in 2001 by Belgian native and Petite Abeille owner Yves Jadot this celebration of a small country with a big heart drew 50 people – now it draws nearly 800, including people who fly in from Belgium for it.

The fest will feature the famous Belgian artist Arno (4pm), who we hear has a cult following among those in the European musical scene, and will benefit The Allan Houston Foundation.  And not to worry, while things get kicked off at 1pm, the festival organizers at Petite Abeille promise they’ll keep the party going “late.”  Last year, we hear they were rockin’ The Frying Pan til 2am.  With plenty of beer, frites and waffles—what’s not to love!  They’ll be serving Palm, Stella and Petite Abeille’s own The Buzz, made by Sixpoint Craft Ales, as well as Duvel.  Ladies can register to enter the Miss Belgium USA contest—with an iPad 2 going to the winner. There will also be a raffle with prizes like free brunch for life at Petite Abeille. The first 100 arrivals will receive a free raffle ticket.

Hudson Terrace, Sun 1pm. 621 W 46th St (between Eleventh and Twelfth Aves) (212) 541-0779; belcham.org; Tickets are $25, children under 12 free

Another annual tradition is Petite Abeille’s pre-party  at the 401 E. 20th Street location on Thursday the 21st.  Starting at 4 p.m. people can “party like a Belgian” with $3 Stella, Palm and Petite Abeille’s own Buzz.
